    The third Monday in January is thought to be one of the unhappiest days of the year - dreary weather, credit card bills - and it's still not pay day! Cheer yourself up by coming along and supporting our Samaritans Brew Monday event. Enjoy a cuppa, a cake and a chat and make a donation that will go directly to help the Samaritans in the work that they do.

    The Alzheimer's Society will be holding a Drop In on 5th February (10.30 am to 12 noon). If you want advice about any forms of dementia and information on the support available, just pop in. The Library has a special collection of books about dementia and memory bags (dementia resource bags) on a range of topics to borrow and share with people who have dementia.

    Listening to well known, stories, poems & prose. 2.00 to 3.00 pm at Ambleside Library on the third Thursday of the month starting on 21st January 2019. Come and join us for an hour of enjoyable reflection and rediscover some literary gems from your past - and unearth some new ones! Sessions are designed especially for those with dementia and their family carers. They will be led by Lesley Gill and supported by Yvonne from Dignity in Dementia. £2.50 per person to include refreshments.
