From the creators of Hey, Presto!, Man on the Moon and The Worst Princess, comes a mischievous tale that little monsters everywhere are sure to fall in love with.
Join us on this exciting adventure to help our young hero take on a Monster Zoo full of weird and wonderful creatures.

Featuring original live music performed by a monster band and lots of laughs for children under 7 and their families.

Rhyme Time

Learn new Nursery Rhymes, make some noise and have some fun with the musical instruments for free.

Come and join us, no need to book!

Rhyme Time meets every Friday in term time 10:45am - 11:30am


Lego Club

Every 2nd Monday in the month, 3.30-4.30pm.

Parent / Carer and children age 5 years upwards can have fun building models together based on a theme.

Places are limited so booking is essential.

Tiny Tales

Come along and enjoy stories, songs and rhymes with your child at Whitehaven Library.

Every Wednesday (Term time only) 10.30-11.

All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Come and Play

A weekly activity giving pre-school children and their parents and carers the chance to meet, play and chat for free. The session features a craft and ends with a singing and rhyme time.

Come and Play meets  every Thursday during term time. 12.30 to 2.00.



Age UK computer bookable sessions

 Every Wednesday, 1-2pm and 2-3pm.

Help and advice from the help of Age UK volunteers to learn computer basics.

Pins and Needles

'Pins and Needles' is a group for anyone with an interest in sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet and much more... Come along, bring your project and share hints, swap patterns, meet new people or learn new skills.

Open to all ages this weekly group meets between 1:00pm and 3:00pm.

Do you care for someone living with dementia or early signs of memory loss?


Based in Whitehaven Library, we are here to listen and offer support on a range of issues.

Our vision is to bring the community and what it can offer together, this includes;

  • Informal opportunity to ask questions.

  • Education - Signposting.

  • Carers Assessments.

  • Emotional support.

  • Promote links with local resources.
