Online Art Competition for Children

Children`s online art competition

Cumbria County Council's Fostering & Adoption Service launches Children's Online Art Competition to show that 'love (and creativity) really does make a house a home'

Have you got a budding Picasso in your household? This summer why not get the kids involved in our brilliant Online Art Competition with prizes worth up to £150 up for grabs?

Our competition which launches today (21 July) is open to all children across Cumbria and the theme for all entries is simply 'home'. Children across the county have all spent a lot of time at home during lockdown and we wanted to celebrate what every child has done to keep everyone safe at this difficult time with our online competition.

As the council's fostering and adoption service is committed to finding safe and loving homes for vulnerable children across Cumbria we couldn't think of a better theme for our art competition!
We know that children around the county have been creating some wonderful art work throughout lockdown and many have been unlocking their inner creativity and now we want to showcase their amazing art on our Facebook page.

Children may want to create a picture of their own home, their dream home, their favourite storybook home, their pet's home or simply create a piece of art that for them represents home - they can let their imaginations go wild. Entries can be drawings, paintings, collages, sculptures made from textiles or eco-friendly materials - anything goes and the more creative the better!

All entries will be shown on our 'Online Art Competition' group page and the three winning entries in each age group will all be featured as the header image of our Facebook page.
