Come and join us for a relaxing evening of yin yoga and a soothing tipple of gin to rejuvenate you so that you're ready for the weekend. What will the session cover and how will it be taught? This will be a relaxing Yin Yoga class followed by a touch of gin to help slow things down, relax and unwind. In this class, we will look at a number of classic Yin poses designed to help to open up the body and calm the mind, alleviating anxiety and reducing stress. Yin Yoga offers deeper access to the body targeting connective tissue, fascia and ligaments with the aim of lubricating and protecting the joints. You will leave this class feeling grounded and revitalised.

  • Counterfeit Seventies Show
    Having toured extensively with The Counterfeit Sixties show they now bring you their unique Seventies show from a decade of glam rock through to new wave music, and everything in between. Featuring the music of Slade, Sweet, T.Rex, The Bay City Rollers and many, many more, they will take you through a rollercoaster ride of the biggest 70's hits.The four piece band have toured worldwide in their individual rights, and have worked with some of the biggest names of that decade.     Explore Winter Landscapes | Sat 26 Feb | 10-4pm | £65 (includes tea/coffee) | 16+ | Tutor Karen Lester | Footprint building and woodland at National Trust St Catherine's Estate, near Windermere Spend the day in the beautiful setting of Footprint, Windermere to explore the colours of the winter landscape. Explore Winter Landscapes workshop shows you how to use mixed media to respond to the landscape through drawing and painting. What will the workshop cover and how will it be taught? We aim to go outdoors to observe and sketch as well as work indoors developing winter landscape themes with a focus on colour. Explore the possibilities of mixing media. This approach allows drawing and painting to develop colour and marks. Using water-based paint and a mixture of drawing materials such as charcoal, inktense and pastel you will be encouraged to work loosely to create dynamic art work.

    Explore Willow Spiral Structures for your Garden | Sat 26 Feb | 11.15 am-5.15 pm | £80 (includes all willow, tools and tea/coffee) | 16+ | Tutor Hannah Ehlert | Studio 3 Ou Explore Willow Spiral Structures For Your Garden workshop is just in time for spring. Make a willow tipi garden structure, and learn about other ways to use willow in the garden. Willow tipis are beautiful and useful to support roses or climbing annuals, beans etc. What will the workshop cover and how will it be taught? This workshop will teach some traditional principles of weaving, especially willow and hedgerow weaving. There will also be a section where students can get advice on how to use willow in their garden for in-situ hurdles, borders and other projects. Hannah can also give general information on suitable species to use, soaking and storage, and tips for successful weaving.

No experience is needed, just come along to have fun, learn something new and make something beautiful! What will the workshop cover and how will it be taught? Play and experiment with materials to create a number of geli plate prints. the technique is easy and fun to learn and participants will explore the printing process to make unique artworks. This workshop will start with demonstrations of the different starting points within the Geli plate printing process. Participants will then become familiar with the range of materials on offer through the making process.

This will be a relaxing Yin Yoga class followed by a touch of gin to help slow things down, relax and unwind. In this class, we will look at a number of classic Yin poses designed to help to open up the body and calm the mind, alleviating anxiety and reducing stress. Yin Yoga offers deeper access to the body targeting connective tissue, fascia and ligaments with the aim of lubricating and protecting the joints. You will leave this class feeling grounded and revitalised.

Explore Winter Landscapes workshop shows you how to use mixed media to respond to the landscape through drawing and painting. What will the workshop cover and how will it be taught? We aim to go outdoors to observe and sketch as well as work indoors developing winter landscape themes with a focus on colour. Explore the possibilities of mixing media. This approach allows drawing and painting to develop colour and marks. Using water-based paint and a mixture of drawing materials such as charcoal, inktense and pastel you will be encouraged to work loosely to create dynamic art work.

Make a willow tipi garden structure, and learn about other ways to use willow in the garden. Willow tipis are beautiful and useful to support roses or climbing annuals, beans etc. What will the workshop cover and how will it be taught? This workshop will teach some traditional principles of weaving, especially willow and hedgerow weaving. There will also be a section where students can get advice on how to use willow in their garden for in-situ hurdles, borders and other projects. Hannah can also give general information on suitable species to use, soaking and storage, and tips for successful weaving.

Play and experiment with materials to create a number of geli plate prints. the technique is easy and fun to learn and participants will explore the printing process to make unique artworks. This workshop will start with demonstrations of the different starting points within the Geli plate printing process. Participants will then become familiar with the range of materials on offer through the making process.
