  • Climb to Space
In support of SHELTERBOX Disaster Relief. A team fundraising event open to all climbers using the Kendal Climbing Wall. Event Dates: 19 Nov 2018 to 02 Dec 2018. Right now, around 85 million people around the world have been made homeless by natural disaster and conflict. We're working to change this. By providing emergency shelter and tools for families robbed of their homes by disaster, we're transforming despair into hope. This event rests upon the idea of climbing into space as indicated by the Karman Line being some 100 km above sea level. A height commonly held to represent the boundary between Earth’s atmosphere and Outer Space. Climbers are invited to come together to ‘Climb to Space’ as a shared fundraising challenge for Shelterbox disaster relief organisation. Challenge yourself to climb 3280 ft (approx 1 km) over the two week challenge period.
