    Presenting... LibraryCon! Forget San Diego or London Comic Con, Barrow Library's LibraryCon is where you want to be! Our first edition will be filled with lot's of drop in crafts, a superhero mask design competition where the winning mask will win a bundle of comic books kindly donated by Atomic Comics, help build our superhero storyboard wall with your own superhero and lastly, the best are always last, our create a comic book workshop! Our talented illustrator, Sarah Docker, will be running two workshops to create your very own comic book! Learn from the best and take your comic home for others to see :) The workshops are available from 10am - 12am and 1:30pm - 3:30pm.   • Acoustic Rave with The Showhawk Duo - Black Box Music Institute Carlisle
    The Showhawk Duo are bringing the acoustic rave to The Black Box Music Institute on Fisher Street, Carlisle with doors opening at 8pm. The young British guitarists Mikhail Asanovic and Jake Wright, together known as The Showhawk Duo, have dazzled audiences worldwide with their spectacular approach to playing the guitar. Their playing style has broken down barriers between acoustic and electronic music. Whether playing 90's trance anthems or modern funky house, their live show knows no boundaries and will leave you amazed!! Together, they started out as buskers and have since gone to play all over the globe. They have performed at most of the UK's large festivals including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Kendal Calling, Electric Picnic and are one of the headline acts at this year's Beat Herder Festival.
