    Join us for a FREE family fun day at Northside Community Centre on Thursday 9 April from 1pm to 4pm. There will be lots of crafts for you to make and take home with you, as well as face painting, glitter tattoos, birds of prey, animals, circus skills, sports, storytelling and more. ​All activities are free for everyone and you don't need to book, just turn up. www.visitworkington.co.uk

  • Buddhist Group of Kendal (Theravada) (BGKT)
    BGKT was founded in 1991. Monthly 3rd Sunday Open meeting. All are welcome. The meeting is led by Lay Teachers Authorized by the Sangha [Community of Theravada Buddhist Monks]. Theravada is the oldest school of Buddhism in the world, and it is practised today in South and South East Asia. Meetings include mindfulness, tranquillity meditation, insight meditation, metta (loving kindness) meditation, and walking meditation, talks, handouts, Q &A. Tea.
