Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service has the ambition to deliver the best possible services to our communities across Cumbria. 

The service has embarked on a cultural journey of change to support this and applications are now being invited for a number of current and future substantive Station and Group Manager vacancies across the service area throughout 2019/20 and into 2020/21

Both Station Managers and Group Managers will be working the Flexi Duty System.

As a Middle Manager, you will need to demonstrate operational excellence, personal accountability and a commitment to your own development. Furthermore you will have a flexible approach and demonstrate the personal qualities, attitude and 'One Team' ethos expected for all staff working for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service.

All applicants are expected to complete the Cumbria County Council application form.

We are asking that applicants demonstrate how they meet the criteria outlined within the post specification.

Candidates are also required to provide evidence against the "Leading the Function" level of the NFCC Leadership Framework Quadrants:

  3. Service Delivery;
  4. Organisational Effectiveness.
