Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service has the ambition to deliver the best possible services to our communities across Cumbria.

The service has embarked on a cultural journey of change, to support this, applications are now being invited for a number of current and future substantive Crew Manager vacancies across the service area throughout 2020/21.

We welcome applications from competent Firefighters and Crew Managers who are looking for promotion or a transfer opportunity, who share this ambition and who can demonstrate a positive attitude to do more for our communities whilst demonstrating the right behaviours to lead on cultural change.

Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service is a County Council service that provides prevention, protection and response services to a wide and diverse range of communities. Cumbria is a fantastic place to live and work but is also faced with a number of significant challenges including a super ageing population, rurality, infrastructure and natural weather. 

Candidates will be able to offer evidence of how they meet the essential and desirable criteria that supports improving the service delivery environment, promoting cultural change and also measured against the "Leading Others" specifications within the NFCC Leadership Framework.

As a supervisory manager, you will need to demonstrate operational excellence, personal accountability and a commitment to your own development. We are asking that applicants demonstrate how they meet the criteria outlined within the post specification.  Candidates are also required to provide evidence against the "Leading others" level of the NFCC Leadership Framework Quadrants.
