Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service - Safety and children

Children and young people can be vulnerable in an emergency situation. Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service strive to minimise the risk to them by working with our multi agency partners to educate children and young people about the dangers of fire and other emergencies they may experience during their lives. Our Fire and Rescue Service staff deliver these educational messages during visits to schools and colleges or by visits from educational establishments and community groups to our fire stations, attendance at Junior Citizen Schemes (JCS) each year, Young Firefighter Courses (YFF) and Fire Cadets scheme (Workington station only).
