ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISON

At 23.23 hours on 1st July 2020 two fire engines attended a road traffic collision involving 2 casualties at low road Whitehaven. There was one casualty who self-extricated prior to fire service arrival. Crews used holmatro cutting gear, first aid kit, oxygen and a stretcher. The casualty was transported to hospital. Crews remained on scene for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

At 15:09hrs on 1st July 2020, two fire engines were mobilised to a road traffic collision person trapped on Flanders road end Thurdark to Dolston road, Carlisle. Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to release the casualty and were at the scene for one hour.

At 01:45 hours on 30th June 2020 three fire engines from Carlisle West, Brampton and Longtown
Fire stations were called to reports of a fire on Dale Street, Carlisle.
On arrival crews
Discovered a fire involving unattended cooking in a domestic property and used a short
Extension ladder and a sledge hammer to gain access to the property. Crews administered
Oxygen therapy to one casualty at the scene and were in attendance for approximately forty
Five minutes.

At 2208 hours on 28th June 2020, three fire engines attended a fire at Stockdalewath road, Dalston, involving a biomass boiler fire that had spread to an outbuilding. Firefighters used one light portable pump, two main jets, ladders and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for 2 hours.

On arrival crews discovered a fire which involved a tumble dryer of a domestic property, firefighters used one breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately thirty minutes.

On arrival crews discovered one casualty trapped beneath a caravan and used chocks, airbags and other rescue equipment to release the casualty. Fire crews carried out first aid and were in attendance for approximately fifteen minutes.

On Wednesday 9th June 2020 at 0012 hours two fire engines were mobilised to Trumpet Road Cleator to a domestic building fire. Crews upgraded the incident and a further fire engine was mobilised to the incident. Crews used one hose reel, one positive pressure ventilator to extinguish the fire and were engaged for forty five minutes.
