At 15:09 hours on Tuesday 6th April, one fire engine attended a rescue of a person in a minor entrapment on Tram Lane, Kirkby Lonsdale, involving a casualty stuck in a children`s swing. The casualty was rescued using small tools and a hydraulic pedal cutter. Crews were in attendance for approximately forty five minutes.

Fire crews used two hose reel jets, a short extension ladder, a work restrained lanyard harness and a nine-meter ladder to tackle the fire. Fire personnel rescued approximately fifty pigs during the incident. One casualty suffered smoke inhalation. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and fifty minutes.

Northwest ambulance were in attendance and provided precautionary checks to the occupants of the property. Fire crews were in attendance for one hour.
