The chimney was found to be well alight on arrival, fire-fighters used chimney gear, a thermal imaging camera, working at height equipment and a 13.5m ladder to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and ten minutes.

At 02:30 hours, two fire engines from Bootle and Millom fire stations attended an outbuilding fire at Queens Park in Millom. Firefighters used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and were on scene for one hour and twenty three minutes.

At 15.53, two fire engines, one from Brampton and one from Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service were called to a road traffic collision on the A69 at Temon Farm Road, Low Row. Fire-fighters used stabilisation, Holmatro cutting equipment and small tools to release one casualty who was taken to hospital by ambulance. Crews were engaged for approximately one hour and thirty minutes.

At 03:33 on the 11th January 2019 three fire engines from Ulverston, grange and Kendal fire stations attended a road traffic collision at Newby Bridge. Firefighters extricated one person from underneath the vehicle using hydraulic lifting equipment and remained on scene for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

At 17:09 hours, two fire engines from Wigton and Carlisle west attended a road traffic collision with persons trapped on Low Eskrigg, Kirkbride. On arrival crews found the incident to be involving two vehicles with two persons trapped. Crews released one casualty from a vehicle using stabfast, hydraulic cutting gear and small tools. Two casualties were seen by ambulance crews with one being transported to hospital. Crews were in attendance for one hour and twenty minutes.

At 18:21 hours on the 7th of January 2019; three fire engines from Appleby, Kirkby Stephen, and Shap attended a domestic building fire at Meadow Vale, Great Musgrove. The fire was located in the roof of the property and had begun to spread to the main house. Firefighters used six breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, working at height kit, and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. Crews were engaged at the scene for just under five hours.

On arrival crews found a road traffic collision involving one vehicle with one person trapped. Crews used holmatro cutting equipment and small tools to extricate the casualty. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

Firefighters extinguished the fire using compressed air foam and wearing two breathing apparatus. Fire crews were on scene for approximately two hours and forty five minutes.

The fire involved a fuel tanker and was out on arrival. Crews used one breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to cool the fuel tanker and monitor. Once deemed safe Carlisle East appliance escorted the vehicle to Southwaite Services for recovery. Crews were in attendance approximately one hour and twenty minutes.

Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and gas detection equipment to remove the freezer to safety. Two casualties were conveyed to hospital via ambulance suffering the effects of refrigeration products. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and forty-five minutes.

At 16:10, three fire engines from Cockermouth, Keswick and Workington attended a serious road traffic collision on the A66 at Embleton, Cockermouth. The incident involved two vehicles with a total of six casualties involved. Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment and small tools to release those trapped. North West Ambulance, Great North Air Ambulance and Police were also in attendance. Two casualties were conveyed to hospital via air ambulance and three casualties conveyed to hospital via land ambulance. Crews were in attendance for approximately two hours and fifty minutes.
