Find out more about what we offer:
Cumbria's training events for school based staff and governors
Cumbria's training events for school based staff and governors brings together high impact, evidence informed professional development and conferences, designed to address key areas of school and setting improvement, based on our best intelligence of current needs in Cumbria.
Some of the courses featured in the programme can be offered as a bespoke training event or as part of an 'INSET day' for your school. Please contact the School Development Team who will be happy to arrange this for you.
In normal circumstances, we usually produce a brochure of all training included in the programme, however, this year this has not been possible. Due to Covid-19 we are unable to deliver face to face training and are planning to deliver all training virtually. As new events are arranged, we will advertise these directly to schools via the SLA Online website, email to the school office, Schools Portal and via our Facebook page.
Naturally, new training courses may be added throughout the year, and others changed or postponed, so SLA Online is the most up to date place to browse. We will also let you know about these developments through direct emails to schools and updates on our Facebook page.

Places for all events can be booked in three ways:
