Carlisle City Wheels and Barrow Ring-a-Ride

City Wheels in Carlisle & Barrow Ring-a-Ride are schemes that provide wheelchair accessible transport for people living in the city centre, who are unable to use public transport due to a mobility difficulty.  It is not available for people who have a concessionary bus pass.

This door-to-door transport service is for travel within the city boundary, and operates Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.  You need to book your journeys at least 48 hours advance. 

The service can be used for a variety of purposes including: 

• Doctor, Dentist or Optician appointments     
• Visiting friends or family in hospital
• Shopping
• Visiting friends
