Keeping you updated with the progress of the Workington temporary road bridge

Workington’s new temporary road bridge was opened at 10.30am on 21 April 2010 by Roger Bingham, Chairman of Cumbria County Council – five weeks ahead of schedule.   Traffic was moving smoothly across the bridge 20 minutes after the ceremony took place. Funding for the emergency bridge has been made possible thanks to the Department for Transport.
