WATCH: Jackie from Eden Country Care explains the training that all new staff will receive when they start the job.

Training & Qualifications

If you are new or returning to social care your employer will support you through an extensive induction programme which will lead to a Care Certificate.

After your induction programme you can expect to be supported to become the best carer you can be, ensuring your understanding in the role and maximising your potential as a valued carer.

Typically our providers will support you to gain your NVQ or HSC Diploma level 2 and 3 and in many cases will support people to enrol into higher level courses to support your progress.

Several of our providers will offer opportunities for you to access distance learning and/or offer in house training for specialist skills to enable you to meet the specific needs of the people you will support.

Many will also offer progression support and training to develop your career, potentially into a team leader or management role.
