The Cumbria Biological Data Network is a partnership of organisations that compile and use biological data. Such information is essential to managing the natural environment and to assist planners in retaining and enhancing local biodiversity. The Network has assisted in the establishment of a Local Biological Records Centre at Tullie House Museum, Carlisle - visit http://www.cbdc.org.uk
In 2008 the Network produced a biodiversity evidence base for Cumbria’s planners, which details many of the available resources relating to the County’s biodiversity.
