Cumbria Community Messaging is a new, free and easy to use service which enables Cumbrians to receive information by email, text, or phone about issues that matter to them. People can sign-up to receive updates on crime, fire safety, emergency incidents, trading standards, public health and much more.
The service is provided by Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association in partnership with Cumbria County Council, Cumbria Constabulary, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service and Community Safety Partnership.
People can sign-up at www.cumbriacommunitymessaging.co.uk. It's quick and easy and you can even choose which updates you would like to receive and exactly how you would like to receive them.
If anybody wants to find out more about the service, or would simply like some help registering, then they can come along to one of our sign-up sessions throughout April. Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association, in partnership with Cumbria County Council library service, are running these events and will be on hand to help people sign-up quickly on the spot or, if they prefer, leave their details and it will be done for them.
The sessions will take place at the following locations:
Penrith Library - Wednesday 11 April, 10am to 1pm.
Brampton Library - Wednesday 18 April, 10am to 12pm.
Penrith Library - Thursday 26 April, 10am to 13pm.
Brampton Library - Saturday 28 April, 10am to 12pm.
