26/1/2010 - Media briefing - draft budget 2010/11

A media briefing will be held at Cumbria County Council's headquarters at The Courts in Carlisle tomorrow (Weds 27) at 9am.

The briefing is designed to run through the draft budget for 2010/11, which will be discussed at a Cabinet meeting next Tuesday (Feb 2). The information covered in the media briefing will be embargoed until 00:01 on Thursday Jan 28.

The council's budget is due to be finalised at a full council meeting on Feb 18.

The media briefing will be attended by Cllr Stewart Young, deputy leader of the county council and cabinet member responsible for resources, Diane Wood, resources director, and Kate McLaughlin-Flynn, chief finance officer. It will take place in the chief executive's office.
