Skip main menu

There's summer holiday magic in the air at three libraries in south Cumbria.

Magician Adam Hudson will be weaving some "fantastical adventures" at Dalton Library on Tuesday, July 21st, Walney Library on Tuesday, August 18th and at Roose Library on Friday, August 21st.

All the shows take place from 11am to noon and they are suitable for all ages. Admission is free and tickets can be obtained at the library counters.

Adam, who is from Dalton, will be linking his magic in with the Quest Seekers’ summer reading challenge, 2009.

And there is more fun for the kids on Monday, August 10th, with a visit from Bookstart Bear to a Teddy Bears’ Picnic at Walney Library. Bookstart is a scheme to encourage lifelong reading from an early age, for children and families.

This event is suitable for children under 5 —and their grown ups!

The picnic takes place between 10 30 and 11 30 a.m. For more information ring 01229 471742.
