Householders in Copeland will soon have more opportunity to recycle anything from beer bottles and fridge freezers to mobile phones and garden waste.
Cumbria County Council's Local Committee for Copeland agreed today (Tuesday 29 April) to increase opening days at the Frizington Household Waste Recycling Centre.
The changes agreed by the local committee will see the HWRC open for an extra day each week –Tuesday as well as Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday –from 8:00am to 4:00pm. An extra eight hours a week.
The move follows improvements in recycling performance across the county.
