An evening with Graham Robb
Description
After moving to a secluded house on the border north of Carlisle, historian and travel writer Graham Robb became fascinated with the once-independent territory his house bordered. He set out to discover the story of the notoriously bloody region of the 'debatable land', the last past of the country to be brought under state ownership and a region fought over by Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and James V. The result is 'The Debatable Land' (Picador, £20), a fascinating journey into this largely forgotten region told with Graham Robb's intelligence, charm and wit.

Graham Robb will discuss 'The Debatable Land' followed by a Q&A session and book signing.

Tickets: £5 (includes a glass of wine and £5 off the book)
