At 22:16 hours on the 23rd of September 2018 fire engines from Ambleside and Broughton attended a road traffic collision near the Ship Inn, Bowmanstead. Crews carried out a thorough 360 degree search for a potential missing casualty and carried out environmental protection for a diesel spill. Crews were in attendance for one hour.

At 19:10 on 23rd September, one fire engine from Barrow and one fire engine from Ulverston attended a property fire on Romney Park in Dalton. Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the kitchen fire. Crews were on scene for half an hour.

On 23rd September at 15:48 on Town Head Road, West Hall two fire engines from Brampton and Carlisle West were mobilised to a report of a large animal rescue. On arrival, crews found a cow trapped between two metal posts. Crews used Holmatro cutting equipment to release the cow. Crews were at scene for approximately forty minutes.

At 00:26 hours on the 23rd September 2018 fire engines from Whitehaven and Egremont attended a fire involving a kitchen in a commercial premise on queen street, Whitehaven. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a thermal image camera to bring the fire under control. Crews were in attendance for one hour.

On arrival crews found a fire in a first floor flat. Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, two thermal imaging cameras and a positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. Crews were detained at this incident for approximately one hour and twenty minutes.

At 12:32, Fire engine from Longtown, were called to a fallen tree completely blocking the A6071 between Smithfield and Longtown. Tree branch had pierced a roof of a property, crews checked the structure of the property, nobody injured. Crews were on site for an hour.

Crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets while gaining access to the oven on fire. The Aerial Ladder Platform was used to inspect the roof. At 04:13 on 4th September 2018 four fire engines from Ambleside, Milnthorpe, Staveley and Windermere fire stations and a joint incident command unit from Walney fire station attended a fire off the A5074 in Crosthwaite Kendal. The fire involved two caravans and four liquified petroleum gas cylinders. Firefighters used one hose reel jet, a 45 millimetre hose and compressed air foam to extinguish the fire. Crews remain at the scene.

At 20:17 on the 2nd September 2018 four fire engines from Barrow, Ulverston and Walney fire stations, and a Joint Incident Command Unit from Walney fire station attended a fire on White Close Barrow-in-Furness. The fire involved the first floor flat of a domestic property measuring ten metres by ten metres. The fire was in the kitchen area of the flat. Firefighters used six breathing apparatus two hose reels, a positive pressure ventilation fan, breaking in gear, oxygen therapy, a trauma kit and first aid to extinguish the fire and treat the casualty. Crews were detained approximately two hours. One casualty suffering from burns and smoke inhalation was treated by fire crews and conveyed to Barrow in Furness general hospital by North West Ambulance Service.

A man had fallen off a ladder on a boat and was rescued by crews using a stretcher and working at height equipment. He was then handed into the care of paramedics. Crews were at the scene for 40 minutes.
