Following a very successful period recognised both by Ofsted and the LA, the governors are seeking to appoint a strategic leader who can inspire staff and students in the pursuit of all-round excellence.

We are a school for students 11 to 18 which:
serves the small town of Millom and a large, beautiful rural area of Cumbria;
is fully inclusive and proud of its status as a community school fully supported by the local authority as "a strategic resource";

We will offer you:
a very welcoming school where the development of every person matters;
very hard-working and committed students, associate staff and teaching staff;

the whole-hearted and open-minded support of a challenging but supportive governing body;
a rising profile of exam success including 60% 5+A*-C including English and Maths in 2014;
a school judged to be "good" with some outstanding features at our last inspection in 2014.
