Valuing People Now needs lots of groups to work together to make it happen. Cumbria has a Learning Disability Partnership Board that makes decisions about local services and support for people with learning disabilities and their families. 

The members hope to: 

• Give people a good life with chances to work, study and enjoy leisure and social activities

• Let people speak up about what they want from their life. (If you need support to do this, you should be able to get it.) 

• Support people to have greater control over their life and their person centred plan
• Get the healthcare they need and the support they need to live a healthy life    

• Support people to have a choice about where they live and who they live with
